Sail Camp is Sailing Education Adventure's primary program for teaching youth sailing. The program is based on the calm and protected harbor of the Marin Yacht club.
2010 is the 26th year of Sail Camp. Many volunteers work hard to improve the camp curriculum, equipment and facilities on a continuous basis. Recently, Sailing Education Adventures was nominated for Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence by the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership of Marin.

One-week full-day sessions - (two or more sessions arehighly recommendedfor adequate sailing instruction) - that concentrate on sailing, boating safety and teamwork. Basic Camp is an introductory course that builds familiarity with boat handling and the principles or sailing. Intermediate Camp further develops sailing skills, while providing more challenges and adventures. Camp staff will form the two groups based on demonstrated skills at the start of the session. Both camps include a Saturday Keelboat Sail and BBQ for campers and families

One-week, half-day sessions to introduce younger children to sailing. Light morning breezes give younger children an opportunity to start learning about wind, water, safety and fun. Mini campers and families are encouraged to attend a Saturday Keelboat Sail and BBQ!

One-week, full day sessions for more advanced sailors. Campers will be challenged by performance sailing, longer voyages, and an introduction to racing. Advanced campers spend the mornings as instructors for the Mini Campers, learning to share their skills. Limited to campers who have already completed Intermediate or have equivalent experience. Each camper handles their own boat!

Camp Clipper provides an affordable sailing alternative to encourage low-income students in theSan Francisco and Marin County communities, particularly the youth of Marin City local community to participate in the sport of sailing.
Camp Clipper is a one-week introduction to sailing, with classes lasting 3 hours/day for 5 days.
Typically light (but naturally, unpredictable) morning breezes give students the opportunity to start learning about wind and water and to have fun sailing on Richardson Bay, all with safety in mind.
Assistant Sailing Instructor wanted for SEA's Sail Camp Summer 2010
Job Location: Marin Yacht Club, Marin, CA (just north of San Francisco)
Description: Sailing Education Adventures (a non-profit membership sailing association) seeks two head counselors for our Summer Sail Camp Program. The program is entering its 24th year of operations. Tha Assistant Sailing Instructor will be responsible for the instruction and safety of up to 24 campers ranging from 8yrs old through 16yrs old and will also coordinate several Junior Counselors. Camp will begin June 14 2010 and end August 20th 2010. Sessions last Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Marin Yacht Club. There will be several days of training before camp starts and 3 Saturday BBQs.
Counselors must be highly proficient in sailing (college level or above), First AID / CPR Certified, US Sailing or ASA Instructor Certified, able to rig, instruct and sail Laser Dinghys, and be able to competently operate a variety of motorboats. Counselors must instruct the campers in a friendly and efficient manor, as well as handle some parent relations.
$15 / hour+ depending on experience.
